Polystyrene Bee Hives

Polystyrene hives are an excellent year round way to keep Honey Bees. In the Winter the reducers are installed and some of the vents closed. Other than that summer, and  winter set up is identical. With the Insulated screened bottom boards monitoring mite fall is easy, and the 2 -3/4" thick insulated outside cover keeps Bees nice and toasty.

• Standard inside dimensions accept all standard size (9-1/8" deep) frames.
• Dimensions are exact. Boxes do not warp or shrink.
• Solid frame rests (Metal) are built into the boxes during manufacture.
• Painting is not required, but these boxes can be painted with any exterior paint. (They are painted)
• These boxes are designed for use as brood chambers year-round.
• Bees winter well in these boxes without requiring any wrapping.
• Standard wooden honey boxes stack on top for summer honey production.
